Thanks for linking to this study. My daughter is 1 1/2 and has glasses. It was really hard to see her with glasses and I was definitely worried about the perceptions of other kids (I realize that the study looked at older kids), so I'm glad to hear that maybe that's not much of an issue anymore. I agree with you that in movies and TV shows, glasses tend to be a short hand way of indicating that a character is smart.

You're welcome! Don't worry about how other kids think. It's usually the adults that you'll need to worry about as they are the ones who impart their own preconceived perceptions onto the kids.
